Our Story

The Campus Area Neighborhood Association was formed in June 2020, filling in a vacuum of neighborhood associations that did not previously advocate for students and local residents in the way they typically do, at the level of the City of Madison.

Meetings are open to any interested members. We are a grassroots group of students and residents who feel strongly about an inclusive, equitable environment. In our meetings, we encourage attendees who feel similarly about developments, licenses, or cut issues, to disagree with each other. Likewise, we hope that those who differ on shared projects or goals do not feel like they are on the outside of things.
